Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace
- Insofar as possible, we aim to ensure the composition of our workforce reflects the make-up of the local community
- We have specific programmes in all our offices to support diversity within the hiring process, e.g. internship and scholarship award programmes
- This is a particular focus in Bermuda, where we engage actively with local organisations to source diverse talent and provide coaching/mentoring for underrepresented groups
- We aim to maintain a focus on equal opportunities across all stages of hiring process
- We measure and minimise the pay gap where possible.
Bring Your Whole Self to Work
Our vision is for a workplace culture where differences are valued and where diversity of background, experience and thought are welcomed. We want to create an environment where all employees, regardless of who they are, are given equal opportunities for career progression and enjoy fair reward from their and The Fidelis Partnership's successes. This will be driven by a workforce that embraces Diversity & Inclusion at every level, in every department across The Fidelis Partnership.
The Fidelis Partnership - Board Diversity Policy
The Fidelis Partnership believes that developing and maintaining a diverse and inclusive organisation is critical to its success. The Board have an important role in promoting diversity to ensure that everyone in the business has equal opportunities to thrive and progress; this role starts with its own composition. A diverse Board encourages fresh ideas and different perspectives, which in turn can support rounded and effective decision making. Diversity in the context of the Boards includes (but is not limited to) a balanced variety of skills, experience, approach, education, background, tenure, personality type, character, age, gender and race.
Board appointments are made following the evaluation process noted above, considering the specific knowledge, skills, independence and experience required to ensure that the Board is well-rounded and each member can bring a range of diverse benefits to the board composition. Any recommendations made for appointments must be explicitly justified with the concept of healthy board diversity and inclusion being encouraged and actively managed by the Board.
